Opportunities for Service & Missions
Loving God through serving others is our strength. We are always looking for more opportunities to serve. It challenges our youth and leaders to dig deeper, put others first, learn more about God, and grow in their faith and love for God.
JUP Youth serves in 3 areas: Worship, Local, and Beyond.

Serve In Worship
Worship is vital for our growth; therefore, JUP Youth, and our Children's Ministry, attend worship once a month for an intergenerational service. Everyone has the opportunity to serve in any area, including choir, liturgical dance, greeters, ushers, children's church, nursery, children's moments, liturgists, sound, media shout, and serving communion.
First Serve Sunday is currently on hold as we adjust to in person gatherings. We will resume it as soon as we can provide additional safe opportunities and places to serve. Stay tuned.
Serve Local
Our Spring Break Missions Trip, Keepin' It Local was a huge success. 22 youth and 4 adults kicked Spring Break off right and kept it local by sleeping and working at the church, homes, and surrounding community with service projects and random acts of kindness. Jobs included yard work, moving furniture, trimming palmetto trees at the church, harvesting and replanting a vegetable garden, replacing an existing butterfly garden, stocking our NIK room with enough food to feed 172 children for 5 weeks, prepping 3,000 eggs for our annual egg hunt, and making a pancake breakfast for the whole church. Our youth were also responsible for planning, purchasing, cooking, serving and cleaning up 4 meals for their peers.
Serve Beyond
Our Summer Missions Trip, Follow the Son was a BIG success. JUP Youth started with a beach sunrise right here on the East Coast and then followed the SUN across the state to see the sunset on Honeymoon Island on the West Coast while talking about and living out what it meant to Follow the SON. The group stopped at various stops along the way serving others and participating in mission opportunities.
Although Summer 2020 Missions Trip was canceled due to Covid-19, we are already planning & dreaming for Summer 2021. Stay tuned!

Stay tuned for the next calm group to start soon.

The Calm app has gained popularity with our students. The app features meditation, bedtime stories, sleep aid, and music designed to help you focus, relax and sleep. JUP Youth has come up with our very own alternative, Calm JUP Youth.
Join us every Wednesday night, 9:00 PM - 9:15 PM. You can dial up from your phone and listen with the group as we read through one of our favorites that we use at the end of Confirmation every year, He Did This Just For You by Max Lucado.
End your busy school day with some quiet time and refocusing for the rest of your week.
